Mille Johansson concludes WRC2 season with sixth place at Rally Finland
Mille Johansson from Katrineholm and co-driver Johan Grönvall from Arvika concluded their WRC2 programme in the FIA World Rally Championship with another strong performance. At Rally Finland, the reigning Junior World Rally Champions finished sixth in WRC2 after once again showing competitive pace against the world’s best.
Together with M-Sport Ford World Rally Team, Mille and Johan completed their seventh and final planned WRC2 start of 2027. Across the rally’s 20 special stages, they recorded eight top-five stage times, including three top-three times. Their best performance came on SS17, where they set the second-fastest time in WRC2.
Despite a puncture and a spin that cost valuable time, the Swedish duo produced a strong finish to climb from 11th to sixth place.
– We finish sixth in WRC2, and I’m very happy with both our performance and the pace we showed on Saturday and Sunday. Without the puncture and the spin, we would have been fighting for a podium, says Mille Johansson.
Rally Finland also marked the end of Mille and Johan’s first season in WRC2, during which they gained valuable experience competing against some of the world’s leading Rally2 drivers.

During their debut WRC2 season, Mille and Johan made significant progress. The highlights included a fifth-place finish at Rally Estonia, sixth-place finishes in Portugal and Finland, as well as their first WRC2 stage win at Rally Islas Canarias. In addition to their World Championship programme, they also finished sixth at the Italian round of the FIA European Rally Championship.
During the season, Mille and Johan competed in four events with M-Sport Ford as part of the prize for winning the 2025 Junior WRC title. They also made three WRC starts and one ERC start with MS Munaretto in a Škoda Fabia.
